Senior Backend Engineer II · promoted from Senior Associate

  • Team lead, PETRONAS via Setel TnG eWallet Mini Program. Led the Setel side end to end and delivered on schedule. The channel now earns about RM10M/month (~RM132M a year).
  • AI Defence: auto top-up fraud prevention. Built api-ai-fraud from scratch: listens to top-up events through ksqlDB, scores each against four fraud signals and alerts the fraud team instantly. Stopped RM20K+ in losses.
  • Setel × Brazil forecourt integration. Integrated 3 fuel pumps on different controller protocols, building our own pump simulator when the vendor had no test environment. Across an 11-hour time difference.
  • BUDI MADANI RON95 & diesel subsidy. Shipped the national fuel subsidy end to end across Setel Mini, PFCC and fleet.
  • Cardless Smartpay fleet. Re-architected card linking from one-to-one to many-to-many, with per-card limits and subsidy resolved at transaction time.

  • Face-recognition proof of concept as a FACES alternative: 60% faster pre-security and boarding.
  • Migrated 5M+ trip files from Google Drive to GCS, then built them into Galaxy Suite to stop tampering, and exposed them to BigQuery + Looker Studio.

  • Moved the Golang asset-management backend to NestJS; built IoT alarm microservices on Redis Pub/Sub and WebSockets.
  • Built the Dodoo Express driver app and an EV charging app (OCPP) in Flutter.
  • Set up CI/CD with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI and Fastlane + Firebase.

  • Maintained the Nuveq IoT Cloud Access Portal (NuxtJS, GraphQL, InfluxDB, MQTT).
